About our journey
The word ‘cha’ means ‘tea’. So technically ‘Chatime’ could be loosely translated into ‘teatime’. But today, with over 2500 locations around the globe, Chatime means so much more than that. Chatime’s journey began in 2005 in Zhubei, Taiwan, founded by Henry Wang and Theresa Wang to globalize authentic Taiwanese bubble tea. It has since grown into the world’s largest teahouse franchise, operating 2,500+ outlets across more than 60 countries under its parent company, La Kaffa International.
Established in 2017, Chatime Bangladesh has grown steadily to become one of the country’s most recognizable beverage brands, especially among students and young adults. In Bangladesh, Chatime has quickly earned a loyal following among urban youth, with stores successfully running in 6 outlets such as Banani, Dhanmondi, Mirpur, Bashundhara, Gulshan and Uttara.

Fun Fact: The word “Cha” means “Tea” in oriental countries; so Chatime means Time for Tea!
